Benefits of Membership:
The Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation is a membership
organization with 3200 members across the US and around the globe. Members
receive a lively quarterly journal, We
Proceeded On, filled with articles, book reviews and other
information from historians and students of the expedition. Members also
receive a quarterly newsletter
filled with information from chapters, news from along the trail and other
members. Members enjoy access to the Foundation's Library
and Archives housed in the Lewis
and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center. The opportunity
to attend the annual
meeting of the membership of the Foundation, which is held in August
at trail locations across the country. Events include travel to historic
sites, reenactments, lectures, seminars, performances, and fellowship with
other Lewis and Clark enthusiasts, and the chance to rub shoulders with
noted Lewis and Clark scholars. Optional membership in local foundation chapters
provides an opportunity for field trips, organized programs and special
events and projects.
