Ohio River Chapter
Lewis and Clark Trail
Heritage Foundation
The
mission of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation is to honor the remarkable
historic legacy of Lewis and Clark through research, education, preservation, promotion,
and coordination.
In
1803, the American West started at the Appalachian Mountains, and the Lewis and Clark
Expedition of 1803-1806 carried the destiny of the young United States westward. Today,
through membership in the Ohio River Chapter of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage
Foundation, you can experience the adventure and excitement of the Corps of Discovery.
The Ohio River
Chapter is open to anyone interested in the exploits of Lewis and Clark, especially the
formation of the Corps of Discovery as it occurred in the Ohio River Valley. The Chapter
meets four times each year, locations vary in the Greater Ohio River Area.
